    Now i need to present to you by showing my new design and work log for do my new CNC. This CNC will change from my old one by using dual x-axis ballscrew.

Z Axis build ::
Finish build Z-Axis.

I used cheap power drill that i have , it not accuracy and not precision but i can make it more precision and accuracy by process of drilling but some hole will have +- 0.2-0.5mm and how to make it still fit when mounting that was simple. OK how? if need to drill 3mm hole then just drill 3.3mm or 3.5mm hole then 0.3-0.5mm of hole will use for adjust aluminum plate when mounthing.

After done assembly machine and other accessories , now just go to wiring the electronic kits and after that go to setup application and test stepper motor run.

Before start cutting some material i need to complete a CNC cabinet first, because it in my room and it close to my bed. So i need to protect dust , sound , dangerous stuff or endmill when it broken.

The cabinet it a bit fit to machine , actually i design it to have 5mm from Y Axis step motor to acrylic but in my design i use 4mm thickness and use some rubber between space of aluminum profile but i change my mind at last minute , then i order 6mm acrylic thickness and it make my space was now only 2mm.

    Does dual motor on Y Axis cause deflection ? and how you managed and controlled it when one motor on Y axis doing down?

      I’m glad you like my work. For dual Y axis , i still found a problem but if one of them down then the other one will make strange sound because it still can move the gantry but not for long and it will losing step (If you don’t use very high torque).

      I can supply all ball screw set , water cooled spindle set but for aluminum extrusion and aluminum plate , it will better if you find it from your local supplier.

    I bought your plans (v2.1) and have been collecting all the parts to build the 4×4 version –
    Question: what extrusion did you use for the bed surface or what would you recommend considering the 4×4 version has a 6060 support in the middle where the bed should be?

    I purchased your plans (v2.1). I like the design and the style very much but as I look at your build log, I notice some differences from the one on the plans.
    1. the motor on the X axis it Is mounted flush to the gantry and the ballscrew uses BK, BF style supports.
    2. the linear rails used on the Z axis are different.
    3. misc. other changes
    I like some of these changes.
    Is this is the older version from my plans?
    Are the details to these modifications available?
    Would I be able to receive the SketchUp file so I can make the modifications myself?

      Thank you for bought the plans.
      – The motor on the x axis does not mounted flush to the gantry because when uses BK, BF style support it make x axis loss travel length about 30mm , so that why i change from BK/BF support to FK/FF support.
      – The linear rail was change because the new design need to use the same linear for all axis.
      – In the build log on this website it an old version (iD2CNC v.2.0) but the plan i sold it the new one (iD2CNC v.2.1) , this version it solve some minor issue of iD2CNC v.2.0.

      Sorry there no 3D sketchup for customer.

    In the current configuration, with all plate material being either 10 or 12mm and linears @ 16mm, is the machine rigid enough to cut 1/2″ or 3/4″ aluminum plate?
